I have had cameras my whole life. From disposable cameras at camp that I couldn’t wait to get developed, to the silly waterproof pool cameras, to running around the house conducting family interviews with my first video camera (that no one enjoyed haha) and later taking photos all around the backyard with my first digital camera, there’s always just been something about it. I remember spreading National Geographic magazines across a massive table at the library and being so blown away by the LIFE that these photographers had captured all over the globe. I got my first Nikon from my parents when I was 19 and haven’t looked back. It has been so rewarding. The feeling of capturing a fleeting moment forever in a photo and bringing that photo to life through editing is exhilarating to me. Pictures hold stories and memories that cannot be recreated but can be conveyed pretty closely through a good photo. It’s been so exciting to watch my small business grow. 4 years ago, I added a pretty sweet addition to my one girl crew, my best friend, Slade. I cannot put into words how much I have grown in the art of photography after working with my husband. He is absolutely brilliant and knows more about the ins and outs of a camera than I ever will. We are a husband and wife duo and have found great success in working together in the various different types of session work that we offer. We are able to capture more shots this way and having two artistic minds has proven to be better than one for our team.
